I’m 17 and I’m not flaca like a lot of Latin women…I got a little more curves and booty than that! But still, I’m not considered “skinny” at all – how do Latin men respond to that? Do they prefer skinny girls over curvy/larger women? I’m not obese or anything, but I definitely don’t have a beach body. I like dancing a lot too – do men mind the larger bodies?

well I think that is a stereotype you americans tend to have of latin americans
when I say latin americans, I mean like the actual real people who live in latin america, not USA latin people.
to be honest I am from Colombia and here there is a pressure to stay thin, as a matter of fact there are latin american countries like argentina that have the highest percentage of women with anorexia in the world.
but I can only speak for SOUTH AMERICA, which is the continent I know, I can not tell you anything about mexico or puerto rico or those cultures.
But south American culture, oh yeah I know it!
you can find many men who are atracted to beefier types but a lot of what people in the USA considered beefy or curvy, is actually considered plain fat here in colombia.

I have both lived in Latin America and traveled through many countries in Latin America. I would say that it is not something that can be deemed on the whole culture. From my experience, it is much more common to find men who are openly attracted to larger women in Latin American countries. But this doesn’t go for all men; some like skinny women, just like at home in the US.

I’n latin america men like their women curvy well being colombian i know in colombia curvy women are prefered instead of flakitas being called a gordita is a compliment im not sure where in colombia the other girl is from but where i am from in colombia curvy women do tend to get compliments
