Why are vampires out during the day?

Maybe it is because i come from the old school mentality of Vampires coming out at night and seducing women and feeding off of them. Killing men and sometimes turing their prey into vampires.
Along with this why is hollywood turning Vampires into homos?

Different myths have different interpretations of vampires. I believe that Meyers may have taken ideas from different stories, in order to suit the needs of her series.

Because they wear sun screen and only feed on a healthy diet of Vegans. Yes, the old school Vampires are no longer around anymore.
Some Vampires are trying to go mainstream and only drink synthetic blood called, “True Blood”

im a big vampire fan. It depends what stories of vampire you go on about. Personally i prefer my vampires pale, seductive and bloodthirsty and out and about during the night. (i love the anita blake novels and some anne rice). But even some back stories talk abut daywalking vampires. there powers limited during this time but they are able to travel during the day as long as they stay out of direct sunlight. vampires find every gender attractive because of the blood and the different ways the two genders bleed. but hollywood seems to make every vampire a good guy nowadays. What happend to the vampire that would seudce the milkmaid then drain her dry? i like romantic links with vampires and humans but on when its got a good story or reason behind it.

Its just a myth I am a vampire and I can out in the sun though it is a bit uncomfortable I must admit. Sort of like really bad sunburn times 3.

I follow your drift exactly. Vampires seem to have genetically mutated to the point that they are no longer considered nocturnal. Being bat clones, the originals of which I always have found cute actually (well fruit bats), I wonder if they smell as bad. Hollywood seems to be running out of original ideas and just using sex as a way to get some interest. Wonder what they’ll bring up next, super hero wombats? Well, we have already had the Koala Brothers….Cheers.

the vampires from twilight are sort of different, they
can come out in daylight because the sun isnt so sunny in
the location they’re at.
If the vampires in the movie do come out when the
sun is shining they sparkle cause they’re body is cold
like ice, the people in the town would know they are different.

Thank you!!! That Twilight trash is a marketing get-rich scheme by that author. I mean that latest book she is making, its just a rewrite of the first in a different perspective. So she does like 5% work and all the teenaged girls will go buy it.
Vampires = night. Vampires have always been creatures of the night. And one of the most common rules is that if a vampire goes in the sun they die. So Edward Cullen and the rest… not vampires. Hell, Blade is a bigger vampire.

don’t believe everything you see in the movies about us we are nothing like that I am half and it get annoying when people tend to believe those things yes I can go out in the daytime. It’s just another bad rap that Hollywood is trying to give Vampires are not homos
