According to legend, vampires have superhuman strength, speed, and toughness, shape shifting, heightened senses, and mind control. as for a species name, all vampires were once human.
and not all vampires have an awesome singing voice. just Lestat.

superhuman speed, strength, smell, toughness, shape-changing, control and command over some animals, mind control or suggestion, manipulation of shadows, some myths even have them employing magic in some forms

ya know, many vampyrkin would resent being called an EVIL species. next time try the word “alternative”. its just more polite, see?
basic characteristics of vampyrkin: very few basic phisical changes, pygment regession syndrome, intolerance to some chemicals, attuned senses: sight, smell, touch, taste, audio. enhanced muscular and cardio vascular response systems. various cases of sleep depreavation and some phsycological conditions.
werewolves: generally the same, save a few genetic kinks and mutating of the physical structure.
