I don’t understand why guys will only spar/have a match with only guys and not girls?
What is your reasoning for this? Because guys will NEVER have a match with me and I want to know your thought process.
And this is in like wrestling/ Brazillian Jiu Jitsu;

    In the western world women are percieved as the weaker sex. Thed man is considered to be much stronger and more powerfull. This has come to us from the acient knights and the times of chivalry. It is not all bad though. Think about it do you really want to get beat up by a girl in front of all your friends?

    cause if they lose, they get mocked for losing to a girl

    I hate sparring girls. I feel too respectful to go hard and strike with any power. So I really dont go out with much power against a female.

    It’s hard for novice guys, because they might accidentally hurt the girl and then look like a jerk. As martial artists progress and get better at their practice, then they are able to adjust their sparring tempo to match their opponents strength and attack; making themselves a challenging, but feasible opponent for a woman.

    in brazillian jiu jitsu mainly due cultural and ethics mainly, i dont think it is due to the fear factor that they might hurt them, or maybe its because if they loose they will look really bad in front of every body else

    It’s because guys don’t want to hurt girls and if they do (on purpose or accident) they will feel responsible and will feel like a jerk. I am in Karate and I don’t spar girls much; but when i do I always try to be careful. (I’ve heard boob bopping hurts the girl.)

    im a guy. i have no trouble sparring or fighting females. i dont believe gender should be an issue. i dont do grappling arts but have kicked and punched many females in a sparring match, and if i was a grappler and in your school. i would give you a match.but the problem is guys do not know how to react to females for the most were doing it on purpose. if guy is wrestling a female and touches her breast or something.some have a fitt about it.like they were doing it for sexula reasons. while other girls no big deal.it happens. so you have to make the guys feel easy about wrestling with you

    Every male is taught never to hit a woman. It is just wrong in our society. So I would think it would make them very uncomfortable.

    That attitude is usually out of ignorance, as only an ignorant male will refuse to spar with a female practitioner. As far as the rationale that it looks bad for the male to “beat up” the female; well, you shouldn’t be trying to beat someone up in sparring anyway regardless of gender. It’s practice, not a death match.

    Perhaps it is not because you are female, but for some other reason like unequal experience. More experienced students often prefer to practice with other more experienced students. Perhaps the size difference is too great and they feel it would be unrealistic for them to practice with you.

    If you really believe that it’s just because you’re female, I would say go to a different gym where there is a culture of respect and the students conduct themselves with more professionalism. I don’t have this problem at my gym because everyone is awesome and no one has a bad attitude.
