vampire masquerade bloodlines PATCH ISSUE?

OK im running a 64 bit system and well its not good for the 32 bit game i guess so i found a site and downloaded the OFFICAL patch and then found a site with a patch to fix the 64-bit issue but when trying to run the 64-bit patch i get a “engine.dll- File not found, or file access error!” Can someone please help me fix this! the offical patch is installed correctly as is the game i dont know what else to try! HELP lol

Locate your save files (if any) save them somewhere else
Reinstall the game and re-patch.

Make sure that there are no other required patches prior to this one. Alot of times you need other patches (ie 1.1, 1.112) and then the 64 bit one.
